Possible Scam Involving Lubbock Animal Shelter

The Lubbock Sheriff's Department says "the good of animals" maybe a front for a possible scam.

If you were at the South Loop and Quaker Wal-Mart over the weekend, you might have found a flyer on your car. It claims all donations will go toward helping fund the Lubbock County Animal Shelter.

The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office has located the man behind the flyers, but no arrest has been made.

Investigators say at this time they are not aware of any victims. But if you did make a donation you're asked to call the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office at 775-1400.
