Lightning Strikes Storage Tank Near Anton - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

It was Wednesday's stormy weather that caused a fire northwest of Lubbock, near Anton.

"We had a tank battery, oil storage tank hit by lightning and ignited the oil and gases in it," said Marvin Brewer, Levelland Fire Department.

Crews from Anton, Littlefield, Levelland, and Smyer responded to the scene, and had the fire out within three minutes.
