Food for Thought Report 4.24

Inspectors cited Logan's Roadhouse at 6251 Slide Road for six critical violations.

  • According to the report, the manager called a repairman to check on a meat cooler after raw steaks, hamburgers and shrimp in the cooler were found at temperatures as high as 52 degrees.

Management tells NewsChannel 11, the thermostat was set too high, but has been changed. The cooler is now keeping cold foods at the correct temperature of 41 degrees or below.

  • An employee did not wash their hands before putting on gloves.
  • An uncovered drink was in a food prep area. An employee rinsed a sanitizer cloth in a hand sink.
  • All the ice in an ice bin was removed and thrown away after inspectors found a straw in the ice.
  • Toxic items were not labeled or stored properly.
  • Multiple items in the kitchen were dirty, including: a heavily soiled microwave, utensils, a can opener and a meat slicer.

Management says all violations have been corrected. The report shows that as well.
