Friday morning the last group of buses pulled out of San Angelo Coliseum where all 462 children had previously been sheltered.
Texas officials are transporting the children, who were removed from a polygamist sect's compound, to foster homes across the state as officials continue to investigate the massive child-custody case.
Earlier in the day a request from mothers in the sect to stop authorities from busing the children was rejected by a Texas Court of Appeals.
"It's good to get them out of this mass shelter setting and into a more normal setting where they can live a more normal life while we complete our investigation," said Darrell Azar, Children Protective Services.
The Children's Home of Lubbock received word Friday that they would most likely not need to shelter any of the children taken from the polygamist compound.
