Thursday demolition continued at a former depot district nightclub, known as South Beach.
The building is coming down to make way for a new Lubbock visitor's center. But, some concerned citizens say the project is too expensive, and quite unnecessary.
"There's smarter ways to do this," said Mikel Ward. "The virtual idea of kiosks and a really good website that people could access from all over is a better option."
The building may be gone, but Ward says she still believes something can be done through a change in leadership at city hall, one that could potentially lower the project's price tag.
