Everyone knows an apple a day is good for you, turns out you may get all the nutrients you need if you toss the apple and just eat the peeling.
Researchers at Cornell studied red delicious apple peels and found a dozen compounds that either inhibit or kill cancer cells in the lab. In fact, several of the compounds were especially active against human liver, colon and breast cancer cells.
That sounds like reason enough to put apples on your grocery list and don't peel them.
