Flooding Closes Roads - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The city closed 54th street between Salem and Raleigh Avenue. Salem Avenue between 54th and 55th is closed because of street flooding and overflowing storm drains. So if you travel these streets to get home, you'll need to detour.

This of course is because of the nearly four inches of rain we've seen in and around Lubbock since midnight. And because of this rain, the city of Lubbock is urging all drivers to stay alert and also tonight the city has hauled trash pickup until the landfill dries enough for the large trash trucks. And the Lubbock police are reporting storm related accidents.
