Step-Up, Step-Out Looking for Volunteers to Stuff Bags

Posted:

Thursday, 65 shopping centers across the country, including the South Plains Mall are joining together to assemble thirty-thousand wellness bags for cancer patients. The organization behind this is the Step-Up, Step-Out Network. They are looking for 100 volunteers at the mall to stuff all those bags. And they're making it fun for those who volunteer.

"We'll have hors d'oeuvres and a little wine reception and chair massages for volunteers who are there as well. So, we want them to be feeling good while they're assembling the bags." says, Beth Bridges, Marketing Manager for the South Plains Mall.

If you'd like to help, just show up from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the South Plains Mall. Later, the Komen Foundation will help distribute the bags to area cancer patients.
