Man Dies in Mysterious Overnight Accident - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Lubbock  man is dead following an accident in north Lubbock. A Lubbock police officer spotted a submerged vehicle in the playa lake at Regis Street and I-27 near the National Guard Armory, around 3:20 a.m. Friday.

Investigators discovered the body of Salustio Salas, 44, lying on the shore. Family members say they last saw him around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

There is no word on what caused the accident.

A memorial fund is set up to help the family with funeral expenses. Donations are being accepted at any branch of City Bank.
