Election Day in Lubbock had candidates for all the races out putting up signs. Pressing the flesh, and for some, taking time for family at baseball games and graduation ceremonies.
We ran into Floyd Price, current district two councilman as he worked hard at Alderson Middle School in East Lubbock to try to keep his seat. While one of his opponents, Armando Gonzales took time to put up last minute signs to catch the eyes of would be voters.
Across town at Cavazos Baseball Complex on Milwaukee we ran into Mayor David Miller. He took time today with family and friends to cheer on his grandson during a little league baseball game.
But miller wasn't alone in taking time for a grandson. Candidate for the district four council seat Paul Beane took time Saturday to cheer on his grandson at Tech's graduation.
But we had the biggest bang for our buck at Honey Elementary School in South Lubbock. There we caught up with three candidates at one time! Mayoral candidate Tom Martin along with candidates for district four Jerry Bell and Tom Keisling were all at this polling place. We caught them catching some shade time between voters exercising their right to vote.
Unfortunately we were unable to catch up with Mayoral candidates Roger Settler and Gilbert Montes and district two council candidate Gilbert Salinas.
