Pick-Up Runs Into LSO Cruiser - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Investigators with the Department of Public Safety are looking into a Friday night wreck in southwest Lubbock County involving a sheriff's deputy.  Troopers say 20-year-old Omar Sanchez failed to yield the right of way when he hit Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputy Brian Kingston.

The accident happened around 11p.m. Friday on F.M. 1730. Both Sanchez and Kingston were taken to the hospital with what are described as non-life threatening injuries. Troopers do not suspect alcohol was a factor in this accident.
