Lubbock Area Amputee Support Group Holds Golf Tournament

The Lubbock Area Amputee Support Group (LAASG) is holding a golf tournament on Monday, June 9th, at The Rawls Course.  There will be a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and lunch will be served on the course.  The tournament is limited to the first 32 teams that enter and costs $750 per team, with payment due by June 1st.  Proceeds will benefit LAASG. 

There are still spots open for sponsors, with varying degrees of sponsorship.

The LAASG would also like to invite people to join them in their monthly meetings.  They gather on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and , because the meeting locations vary, ask that you call for specific locations.

The goals of the LAASG are to:

  • Meet Monthly - to allow their members to have an opportunity to become educated on various topics, bettering their livelihood and well-being. It also instills a sense of community and provide a setting for fellowship among members.
  • Reach Out - to ensure availability of vital services, information, and an opportunity learn and partivipate in the group.
  • Open Doors - to stay in contact with our other Support Groups and the ACA (Amputee Coalition of America) in order to be aware of the topics and issues concerning amputees in today's world and to partner with other community services in order to ensure the needs of amputees are met.
