West Loop 289 Accident Backs Up Traffic - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Afternoon drivers on West Loop 289 had a slower drive Thursday after a car accident backed up traffic.

It happened just after 4:00 p.m. along the south bound access road at the 50th Street intersection. A minivan broadsided a Ford pickup. Authorities at the scene tell NewsChannel 11 that the collision was likely caused by a red light runner.

Fortunately no one was injured.
