Driver Arrested After Hit and Run Accident - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The driver of an SUV is behind bars following a weekend accident in Lubbock. Witnesses say the man sideswiped a vehicle on I-27 around 9:30pm Sunday near 34th street.

The SUV took the 34th Street exit, ran a red light, and rear ended a pickup truck. Police say the driver of the SUV tried to flee the scene, but officers took him into custody shortly after the accident.

There is no word on the condition of the victims in the pickup.
