Lubbock's Reading Toddler to Appear on PBS Series

Remember Elizabeth Barrett? She's the Lubbock infant who surprised her pediatrician by reading the word "avocado" at 13 months.

Then at 17 months, she surprised us by reading all sorts of words and phrases and she also surprised Ann Curry on the Today Show.

Now Elizabeth is in Salt Lake City filming a segment of "Signing Time", the PBS series geared toward young children that encourages signing as you learn to read a word.

Elizabeth's mom, Katie, tells KCBD that they turned down an invitation to be on Oprah - but "Signing Time" was something they could not pass up.
