Jon Ray Rodriguez Returns to Lubbock

Accused kidnapper Jon Ray Rodriguez was booked into the Lubbock County Jail Wednesday afternoon.

Rodriguez did not answer any questions as sheriff's deputies escorted him into the jail around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say the 29-year-old nearly choked his former girlfriend to death, and then held her against her will. Later, investigators determined he faked evidence that lead a Lubbock judge to lower his bond.

Rodriguez turned himself into authorities in Oklahoma earlier this month, but a judge there released him on a fugitive warrant. Authorities re-arrested Rodriguez Monday in Woodward, Oklahoma.

Wednesday, Rodriguez is held on a combined $200,000 bond for aggravated kidnapping and assault.
