Dog To Be Put Down After Being Deemed Dangerous

A dog will be euthanized following a recent attack in the 2400 block of 27th Street. Lubbock authorities tell NewsChannel 11 a Rottweiler came through a broken fence when it growled at a woman walking her dog. She took her dog home, and contacted the city.

Witnesses say she then returned to the property to wait for Animal Control. And during that time, the Rottweiler attacked, seriously injuring the woman.

A hearing deemed the dog dangerous and ordered it to be put down. That decision was upheld by the appeals board.
