Snyder Heading to State Tournament

The Snyder Tigers beat the Cooper Pirates 5-2 in the 1 game 3A Regional Final in Midland to advance to the State Tournament for the first time since 1986.

The Tigers will play Wednesday at 12pm or 3pm at Disch-Falk Field in Austin. Snyder won the 4A Baseball state title in 1983 led by pitcher Charles Bollinger. He's now the coach and his son, Brent is hoping to repeat that feat and bring a title back to Scurry County.

Pete Christy will have highlights and a complete recap of the Tigers win Friday on NewsChannel 11 at 6.
