Asthma Inhalers Go Green

Asthma inhalers will be more environmentally friendly beginning next year. 

The Food and Drug Administration issued an advisory Friday to remind patients to talk to their doctors because inhalers containing chlorofluorocarbons, or CFC's, will not be made or sold in the US after December 31. Instead, inhalers will be powered by ozone-friendly HFA'S, or hydrofluoroalkanes.
