Power Back on in Levelland and Abernathy - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Power is back on across Levelland after a two-hour, city-wide outage. Xcell Energy tells us a transmission line to a substation malfunctioned knocking out power to about 1,500 customers.

The Levelland Police Departments says something became caught in a power line around 4 p.m., but power was restored by 6:15 p.m. Almost 900 Xcell customers in Abernathy were also in the dark from about 4pm to 7:30pm.

Details are still sketchy about what caused that outage, but the electric company says power should be back on there as well.
