Investigators suspect he's connected to a string of burglaries in Lubbock County. Now, one of NewsChannel 11's Most Wanted is back behind bars.
Lubbock County investigators asked NewsChannel 11's Most Wanted to profile this case in May. They told us people may have been helping 25-year-old Ernest Ray Zavala hide from the law.
He's wanted on a parole violation, but investigators suspect he's connected to a burglary ring busted open on May 2nd. That's when authorities arrested two teens breaking into a home in the county. It led them to a house in Lubbock, and thousands of dollars worth of stolen goods.
Deputies arrested Zavala on an unrelated warrant at that time, but he bonded out before more charges could be filed. Authorities told us Zavala posed a threat. He's charged with burglary back in 2004, and we also learned he was convicted of assault for causing bodily injury to a family member back in 2003.
Monday, we learned Lubbock Police arrested Zavala on Crickets Avenue. Right now, he's held in the Lubbock County Jail on the parole violation. More charges could be filed.
