Carl Everett Activated

Texas Rangers outfielder Carl Everett has been activated from the disabled list just in time to play against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Everett had been out since June 3rd with a strained left hamstring. He also was disabled from May 5th through the 21st with a strained right calf. In 38 games, he has five homers and 18 RBI.

The team asked Everett to go on a rehabilitation assignment last week, but he refused, opting to work out in Arlington. No roster move was needed because Texas sent outfielder Ryan Ludwick to AAA Oklahoma on Sunday.
