Yoga may help you get fit, but it could leave you with a nasty health problem depending on where you exercise and who does it with you.
Sweaty yoga mats and bare feet can make for a creepy combination.
"We see fungus of the feet daily. It's a very common thing, especially in the warmer months," said Dr. Jeerald Sklar, dermatologist.
Dr. Sklar says fungus thrives in moist, damp environments, so any sweaty exercise mats can provide a perfect breeding ground for athlete's foot.
That's why he says if you join a yoga class, make sure the owners clean their mats between classes or better yet, just take your own mat.
