Airport Road to be Closed for Repair

Beginning Monday, June 9, the portion of the terminal road directly in front of the airline terminal building at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport will be closed for repair.  This phase of the roadway reconstruction is scheduled to be completed on June 30.

During construction, traffic will be detoured through the short-term parking area. Terminal access will be restricted to entrances on either end of the building.

"We will make every effort to minimize any inconvenience from the construction," said James Loomis, assistant city manager for transportation and public works.

The entire roadway reconstruction project is scheduled to be completed in November.
