Rockets Draft Pick Leads China over Yugoslavia

The Houston Rockets top draft pick Yao Ming scored 27 points against European champion Yugoslavia, leading China to a 92 - 78 victory on Wednesday at the Shuanglai Four-Nation Tournament. The 7' 5" center was the top selection in last month's NBA Draft.

Yao's teammate Menk Bateer who played for the Denver Nuggets last season, scored seven points in less than 10 minutes. The Chinese lost to Italy 82 - 65 on Monday, with Yao scoring 28 points.
