The Snyder Tigers stole the show at the state baseball tournament, but there is another part of the story makes that victory even sweeter.
You met Dakota Carroll during our Children's Miracle Network broadcast this weekend. Dakota is a standout Freshman on that team who could not play because he is undergoing chemotherapy while waiting for a stem cell transplant for his cancer.
The Tigers wore a motto on their helmet to cheer Dakota on while they fought for the state championship. As it turns out, doctors let Dakota go to that tournament in Austin and after the historic win, Dakota was there in the dugout, celebrating with the team, and wearing a state championship medal like his teammates.
