Lamesa Man Dies After Being Backed Over by Car

Dawson County authorities are investigating the death of a Lamesa man. Police say the man and a woman were traveling in separate vehicles yesterday when they began arguing. They pulled off the road, got out of their cars, and exchanged words.

When the woman got into her car to leave, the man tried to stop her. But, she unknowingly backed over him, pinning him beneath her car. Police say she tried to move the car, but it became stuck in the sand. EMS took the man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. So far, no charges have been filed against the woman.
