Police in Plano, Texas are investigating the death of a former Texas Tech tennis player. Police yesterday found the bodies of 30 year-old Amanda Earhart-Savell and 35 year-old David Jacobs inside his home in Plano. They had been shot to death.
Police did not say if their deaths were a double murder or a murder-suicide. Jacobs pled guilty last year to selling steroids. He was sentenced last month to three years of probation. He recently met with NFL Security officials and gave them the names of football players that he allegedly sold steroids to.
Amanda Earhart-Savell graduated from Texas Tech in 2000. She attended Tech on a four year tennis scholarship, where she received All Big 12 honors. After graduating, Earhart-Savell became involved in bodybuilding. She went on to become an IFBB Professional Figure competitor. She placed in the top five in the 2007 Figure Olympia contest. She also appeared in many fitness magazines, including Muscle & Fitness, Flex, and Oxygen.
