A Lamesa man is dead following what appears to be a tragic accident.
It happened just after 6:00 p.m. Thursday. The Dawson County Sheriff says Joe Longoria, 19, and his girlfriend were arguing on the side of the road. The woman told police that she decided to end the argument and just drive away, but somehow Longoria was pulled under the vehicle, and became pinned. And the vehicle then became stuck.
Emergency officials transported Longoria to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
This incident is still under investigation, but so far no charges have been filed.
