Details on the proposed animal shelter were revealed Tuesday during an advisory board meeting.
Assistant City Manager Scott Snider presented the board with progress on the preliminary plans for the shelter. He says engineering and architecture plans should be done by July 15 and given to a contractor for bids.
Earlier plans included an animal training center, but was removed for financial reasons.
Snider says the shelter is estimated at 21,000 square feet, at a cost of $270 per square foot.
