Police say he intentionally gave them a false address not once, but twice in an attempt to avoid detection.

Tuesday, a Lubbock County Grand Jury indicted 40-year-old Rodney Kennedy for failure to register as a sex offender.

Police say Kennedy initially registered after he was convicted of indecency with an 11-year-old girl, but he did not live at the addresses he gave. Police tracked him down where he was working and took him into custody.

Kennedy remains in the Lubbock County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

The same grand jury also indicted 31-year-old Monica Perez for aggravated assault in an April 22nd stabbing.

Perez, her 12-year-old daughter and two other people allegedly kicked in the front door at 410 39th Street. Police say Perez then ordered her daughter to stab the people inside the house. One woman was treated for stab wounds to the back and arm.

Perez remains behind bars on various charges.
