Lubbock Police call him a sexually violent predator, and now this most wanted suspect is behind bars. 20-year-old Jeffrey Paul Davis turned himself into the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office. Jailers booked him in Tuesday morning.
Davis is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender. He was convicted of aggravated sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl back in 1999. That made him just 12-years-old at the time of his conviction. Police say his location has been unknown since May 13th.
"Apparently some of his friends had recorded one of the newscasts and showed it to him, and he said he wanted to clear his good name," Lubbock Police Corporal Mark Long said.
The Secret Service also wanted to question Davis about an unrelated case. No word if they've filed any additional charges.
Now, Davis moves to NewsChannel 11's captured wall. Your call could move the next suspect. Click on the link below for a rundown on the seven suspects that remain on NewsChannel 11's Most Wanted wall.
