Police Respond to Reports of Home Invasion

Lubbock police responded to a central Lubbock home Wednesday night following reports of a home invasion.

The victim told police that she was babysitting four children, when three suspects burst in through the back door armed with a rifle, shotgun, and handgun.

"They were armed with firearms. They held all of the victims, including the children at gunpoint, while they took items of value out of the house, including a safe. Basically what we constitute a burglary and an aggravated robbery. There may be other charges follow, endangering a child, things like that certainly could be on the table once they're caught," said Captain Greg Stevens, LPD.

Police say the men fled the scene the same way they came in. Fortunately no one was injured.
