An NBC giant passed away Friday morning. Tim Russert collapsed from an apparent heart attack. Millions watched him every Sunday morning as the host of "Meet the Press". As the Washington Bureau Chief of NBC News, he seemed tough as nails.
After law school, he went on to Capitol Hill where he put aside high tech graphics and became a big star using a simple white board to analyze the 2000 Presidential Election.
As we head into father's day, Tim Russert was once named father of the year and a "dream dad". He also wrote a best seller "Big Russ & Me" about his relationship with his father.
Russert and his wife of more than 30-years, Maureen Orth, had one son, Luke who just graduated from Boston College. Tim Russert was 58-years old.
