One out of four women with saline breast implants for cosmetic reasons will end up needing another surgery again within five years. That's what the Food and Drug Administration has found in a follow-up study on saline implants.
Mostly for cosmetic reasons, like clearing scars or easing wrinkling. But more serious reasons include deflated or leaking implants and even infection. The follow-up study was reported to a government advisory panel by saline implant makers.
