A day after Commissioner Bud Selig said a team was in danger of not making payroll, a top aide says that all teams' financial problems are past. Bob Dupay, baseball's chief operating officer, says that whatever issues there may have been with one or two clubs have been resolved in the short term.
However, a top official of a major league team who wants to remain anonymous says that Detroit and Tampa Bay had cash flow problems earlier this year. Both clubs denied any financial problems.
