Some Lubbock county employees may receive a possible three day weekend.
Commissioners are considering a proposal close the court on Fridays in an effort to save energy. Office hours would then be extended during the week to make up the difference.
Commissioner Bill McCay says the move could save the county as much as $10,000 per month.
Right now, department heads are trying to determine if the savings will justify closing the court.
