Fireworks Stands Open in Lubbock County - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

As the month of June comes to a close, many are already looking ahead to the 4th of July.   Fireworks stands are now open in anticipation of this year's celebrations. And with that comes this reminder from Lubbock county: launchable fireworks, like bottle rockets and those with wings, are prohibited.  

"We've got the sparklers that are safe and kids like them," said Shauna Wilbanks, a fireworks stand operator. "Lots of smoke bombs, spinner satellite things that kids like that are just for fun."

And do not forget, fireworks are against the law inside the city of Lubbock.
