Man Charged with Attempted Capital Murder After Attack on Sheriff's Deputies

The man who authorities say beat two Lubbock County Sheriff Deputies has been charged with two counts of attempted capital murder.

 Brenton Wade Shadden was charged after he allegedly hit the two deputies with the handle of a toilet plunger when they responded to a domestic dispute at his home Monday morning.

One deputy was taken to the hospital, but has since been released. Both deputies have recovered.
