Central Lubbock Home Site of Possible Drowning

A toddler is in critical condition at Covenant after what police are calling a possible drowning.

Police were called to a home in the 1900 block of 63rd Street around 5:00 pm Friday afternoon. Police tell us that family members pulled out the unconscious toddler from the bottom of a backyard swimming pool. They say there were two adults in or around the home when the incident took place; and that there were three other children in the home.

We learned from neighbors that the toddler and her mother did not live in the home, but the mother was there when it happened. Neighbors tell us that the owner of the house tried to perform CPR on the child. NewsChannel 11 is following this story and will have the latest as details become available.
