On June 29, 2008 at approximately 1705 hours the Humble Police Department received a call for service at the Wal-Mart store in Humble.  Upon arrival the mother of the missing child was placed in custody for theft.  She advised officers that her one year old child and a friend were also at the store.  The mother of the missing child provided her mother's cell phone number to the friend and requested that he contact the mother to make arrangements to release the child and her vehicle to her mother.

At approximately 1900 hours the grandparents of the missing child arrived at the Humble Police Department and advised they had not been contacted and were unaware of the child's location.  At approximately 1915 hours Detectives began checking locations provided by the mother of the missing child in attempts to locate the infant.  During this time a region wide BOLO was sent to all surrounding agencies.  The missing child has been entered into the State and National Database for missing children.  The missing child is now considered endangered due to the lapse time and lack of contact with the friend or child.  An AMBER Alert has been issued and pictures of the missing child and the mother's acquaintance are provided.

During the course of this investigation the mother's acquaintance has been identified as Michael Gene Richardson.  He is a black male with a date of birth of 01/31/53.  He is 6 ft tall weighing approximately 213lbs.  He is currently wanted on a Parole Violation Warrant.

Michael Richardson and the child were seen leaving the Humble Wal-Mart in a 1989 Maroon Plymouth Voyager Van with Texas license plate DKD-218.  The Grandmother has advised the paint on the hood is faded.

Any information on the location of the missing child or Michael Richardson please contact the Humble Police Department at 281-446-7127.
