Fire Destroys Workshop in South Lubbock County

Investigators are looking into a fire in south Lubbock County. Flames tore through a workshop behind a home in the 3500 block of 179th street around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday. The fire burned several vehicles and painting equipment. There were no reports of injuries.

Firefighters from Woodrow and Wolfforth helped put out the blaze. Investigators are looking into reports of a man in a pickup truck seen leaving the area just before the fire started.
