Victim Remains Critical After Semi Accident West of Brownfield

The victim in an accident near Brownfield remains in critical condition.

According to DPS, a semi slammed into four vehicles stopped at a construction zone on U.S. 380, 4 miles west of Brownfield, Tuesday. The tractor trailer burst into flames and exploded.

One victim was flown to UMC for treatment. Authorities say the man heard the impact and got out of his car. He was hit, resulting chain reaction. 

The victim's name has not been released.
