Soldiers Treated to Independence Day Lunch

Posted:

Soldiers passing through Dallas-Fort Worth Airport were treated to lunch on July 4th.

The holiday meal was part of the nationwide effort called, "Treat a Soldier to Lunch." Soldiers departing were given a Texas BBQ lunch, complete with all the trimmings. And soldiers returning home from active duty were given $20 restaurant gift cards.

The Freedom Wave Foundation collects money and greets soldiers at airports nationwide.
