Family of Eight Left Homeless After Fire

A family of eight is homeless after a fire destroyed their Southwest Lubbock home this weekend.

The home in the 8200 block of Lynnhaven was completely destroyed by the fire, which started early Saturday morning. Rita Chasco and her seven children were not home at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown, and remains under investigation.

A fund has been set up to help the Chasco family. Donations are being accepted at any location of First Bank of Lubbock.
