Authorities Hope to Round Up Suspect in Warehouse Theft

Lubbock County investigators say someone stole thousands of dollars worth of chemicals over the weekend. Someone took 2,000 gallons worth of weed killer, and a batch of pesticide from the Helena Chemical Company on the Clovis Highway.

Investigators tell us a worker discovered the loss on Sunday. They say the chemicals were taken sometime between Friday night and Sunday afternoon. The weed killer was stored in 150 and 250-gallon drums, so they wouldn't be easy to move.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity at Helena Chemical Company over the weekend is urged to call the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department. That number is (806) 775-1400.
