Reward Upped in Weekend Chemical Theft

Someone stole over $200,000 worth of chemical, and the reward to find them has increased.   Investigators tell us sometime between last Friday night and Sunday afternoon, someone stole two thousand gallons of weed killer and pesticide from Helena Chemical Company on the Clovis Highway.

The chemicals were stored in 150 and 250 gallon drums, so the owner says the suspect would have had to use their own forklift and flat bed trailer. The owner of Helena Chemical is now offering a reward along with the Crimeline reward to help find the suspect.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity at Helena Chemical Company over the weekend is urged to call the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department. That number is 775-1400.
