The number of pregnant teens is on the rise in the Hub City along with reported cases of Chlamydia. So, this weekend pregnancy, abstinence and STD's will be the focus at Teen Straight Talk.
Parents and teens are invited to this free event on Saturday. Registration gets underway at 9:30 a.m. The program begins at 10:00 a.m.
"We're going to talk about absence because abstinence is the number one way to prevent STD's and teen pregnancy, but we're also going to talk about different types of contraception," event co-chair Linda Brice said.
Teen Straight Talk will be held at four location across the Hub City: Guadalupe Neighborhood Center, Grace Clinic, the Science Spectrum, and the Bridge Community Center.
