Live Strong Tour Stops In Brownfield

After an all-day ride from Roswell, New Mexico, six bicyclists took a rest in Brownfield Friday night.  The bikers from Beaumont, Texas are part of the Live Strong Across America Tour. It's an effort to raise money for cancer research.

On July 1st, they began a journey that will take them from San Diego all the way to Washington D.C.  The ride covers 3,300 miles, and will be completed in 33 days.

"Every day we get up, whether we want to be on that bike or not, get on the bike and go. We're fortunate; we're just riding a bicycle. Some people have to get up in the morning and do chemo whether they want to do it or no," rider Tom Simon said.

Proceeds raised will go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.  (Click Here) to learn more or to make a donation.
