The Boston Celtics acquired forward Vin Baker from Seattle on Monday as part of a five player deal that sent point guard Kenny Anderson to the Supersonics. The Celtics also received guard Shammond Williams while shipping center Vitaly Potapenko and guard Joseph Forte to the west coast.
The Celtics are hoping that the change of scenery will help revitalize the 6' 11" Baker, who spent the last five seasons in Seattle, after four stellar seasons with Milwaukee. Baker played in four consecutive All-Star games from 1995 - 1998. Anderson is an 11 year veteran, who helped the Celtics to their first postseason appearance in seven years last season.
